PAWSEL stands for Advanced Semantic Web Service-based platform for distributed e-learning processes ^(*).

PAWSEL is a research project aimed at innovating in e-learning systems by the application of common business process integration technology. 

PAWSEL aims at the specification, design and reference implementation of base software for the automated interchange between e-learning systems and learning resource selection systems, based on choreography and orchestration mechanisms that are compliant with existing specifications.
